Alpine Business Consulting fixes the common disconnect between a finance team requirements and the technical systems meant to support them. We step in when reporting tools are poorly configured, ensuring that the close process and consolidation logic work as intended. Our team is currently supporting a partner based in Paris on a complex project that requires precise organization and clear communication to move beyond implementation theatre and deliver real technical clarity.
About The Role The Scrum Master Intern will assist in keeping our projects on track and ensuring our technical consultants can focus on remediation and configuration work. Because we work on a fixed-price basis, maintaining a predictable cadence and clear documentation is vital. In this fully remote position, you will help facilitate the daily operations of a distributed team, making sure that blockers are identified early and that every step of the implementation remains transparent to our clients.
What You Will Do
Assist in organizing daily syncs and planning sessions for our remote consulting team.
Maintain project documentation, ensuring all technical requirements and system changes are logged clearly.
Track progress on configuration tasks and data modeling milestones to prevent scope creep.
Help prepare status reports for our partner in Paris, focusing on accuracy and factual updates.
Assist in identifying blockers that prevent consultants from finishing the close process or data mapping.
Support the creation of administrator training materials to help clients become self-sufficient after project completion.
Monitor the project board to ensure that remediation tasks are clearly defined, categorized, and assigned.
What We Are Looking For
Basic understanding of Agile principles and an interest in how Scrum applies to consulting projects.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple tasks without losing site of the details.
A clear, plain-spoken communication style that avoids corporate jargon.
Curiosity about how finance processes like consolidation and reporting work in large companies.
Proficiency with standard office software and a willingness to learn project management tools.
A mindset focused on precision and helping the team maintain high standards of technical accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule in a fully remote, distributed environment.
Bonus Points
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar project tracking and documentation software.
Basic exposure to Power BI or general data visualization concepts.
Interest in enterprise performance management platforms such as Oracle EPM or SAP BPC.
What We Offer
Attractive pay that is competitive for an internship role in the current market.
A fully remote work environment that values results and technical rigor over office attendance.
Direct mentorship from senior consultants with deep expertise in finance and data systems.
Hands-on exposure to high-stakes projects for clients in regulated industries across Europe.
A work culture that rejects corporate theatre and favors direct, honest communication.
Experience with fixed-price engagements, which provides a more structured and predictable work pace than hourly billing.
Opportunities to learn how technical tools support the actual day-to-day operations of finance teams.
Our finance-first approach means we never just install software and leave. We build systems that work for the people using them, starting with a clean chart of accounts and a clear data dictionary. This internship provides a chance to see how professional services can be delivered with transparency and technical rigor, ensuring that our clients are never left dependent on outside consultants once a project is finished.
