Skynopy Presentation Skynopy is a fast-growing New Space company connecting satellites to the ground, wherever they are. We combine our own global network of antennas with strategic partners to ensure data flows seamlessly between space and Earth.
Founded in 2023 by former Loft Orbital executives, Skynopy already operates 17+ ground stations worldwide, and is backed by a €15 million funding round and scaling fast. Our network is built for security, reliability, and cloud connectivity to meet the highest standards, including for government and defense customers.
We recently strengthened our position with a strategic partnership with Eutelsat, a major satellite operator. Together, we're launching "Global AKAR," a new global network built to give satellites faster, more reliable connections anywhere on the planet.
Our focus: Earth Observation satellites
- the ones capturing critical data about our planet. We make sure that data reaches the ground fast, every time.

Skynopy Infrastructure The cloud-based infrastructure allows satellite operators to communicate with their satellites. Skynopy unifies multiple ground station antenna networks in a single interface.
It is composed of:
- A control plane to allow satellite operators to book contacts* with their satellites. Behind the API, the control plane orchestrates the various ground station networks.
- A data plane that drives the data between the satellite operator infrastructure and the ground station antennas, uplink and downlink.
- A network of Ground Station antenna providers
- a contact is a communication slot, it is linked to the moment when a satellite passes over a ground antenna and when data is exchanged
As an intern, you will be able to collaborate with and be guided by the senior developer team of Skynopy. You will be able to learn and work with a team of skilled people.
Skynopy is deploying a secure and high-performance network across the globe.
The end goal is to implement a reliable, secure and scalable architecture.
1. Network (50%):
- Help deploying and extending interconnections between Skynopy's own ground stations and cloud locations
- Improve observability and monitor network links as well as the troubleshooting efforts
- Contribute to the design of a scalable, reliable network architecture
- Document network topology, configurations, and incident response procedures to support audit readiness
2. Cyber security (50%):
- Support Skynopy's compliance efforts toward ISO 27001, SOC 2, and EU Restricted / Diffusion Restreinte requirements
- Help integrate security tooling into the CI/CD pipeline to strengthen our overall security posture
- Help implementing and reviewing linux hardening of all our systems
Requirements
- You are a student at an engineering school.
- You have good knowledge of networking, security and linux systems.
- You have excellent troubleshooting skills.
- You can synthesise a problem well and communicate clearly about it.
- You are interested in discovering the space sector (no need for any experience in this).
- You are fluent in English.
- You are an EU citizen.
- You are looking for your final-year internship (stage de fin d'études)
Nice to have
- You have already worked around cybersecurity and know the security tooling
