aeitos is a non-profit organization and an independent contemporary arts platform dedicated to performance, experimental artistic practices, and emerging forms of contemporary creation. We commission and present site-responsive artistic projects that bring together artists, curators, writers, and audiences through performances, exhibitions, conversations, and editorial publications. Following our inaugural edition, the prelude , on the island of Patmos, Greece, we are expanding our team. Working with aeitos offers the opportunity to contribute to the launch of an international cultural institution while helping shape its digital community and editorial voice from the ground up.
Role Description
aeitos is looking for a Community Manager & Copywriter Intern to drive digital engagement, grow our global audience, and craft compelling narratives across our communication channels. This is an extendable, remote, and flexible unpaid internship of two months, featuring regular online meetings and close collaboration with the founders. Beyond basic scheduling, this role focuses on translating aeitos’ artistic vision into poetic and institutional storytelling, building an authentic network of contemporary art enthusiasts, artists, and curators.
Responsibilities
- Editorial & Copywriting: Draft high-quality Instagram captions, monthly newsletters, website copy, press releases, and editorial features.
- Community Growth: Develop and execute organic growth strategies to expand our international network of artists, curators, and design enthusiasts.
- Content Management: Maintain the multi-platform content calendar, coordinate publication schedules, and monitor digital engagement.
- Audience Engagement: Actively interact with our online community, respond to inquiries, and initiate digital conversations with cultural partners.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the founders and graphic design team to align visual assets with strong, conceptual textual narratives.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently studying or recently graduated in Communications, Journalism, English, Art History, Marketing, or a related field.
- Language: Professional working proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Greek or French is an asset.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional storytelling ability with a keen eye for tone, grammar, and contemporary art vocabulary.
- Digital Savvy: Strong familiarity with Instagram, newsletter platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Squarespace Email), and community building.
- Cultural Alignment: Deep interest in contemporary art, performance, architecture, publishing, and independent cultural institutions.
- Traits: Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing social media for cultural institutions, galleries, or indie publications.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, Squarespace CMS, and Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with Figma or Adobe Creative Suite for minor layout adjustments.
