Context

We are seeking a motivated and creative intern to join our research and innovation team for a 4 to 6-month period. Working closely with researchers and technical experts, you will contribute to the design and prototyping of visualization solutions for complex modelling outputs derived from multimodal health-related data.

Goals & tasks

Your work will focus on how to represent complex, heterogeneous, and dynamic data in a relevant and interpretable way.

The internship will address methodological research questions related to data selection, organization, and visualization, including which model outputs are the most relevant to display to end users, how to structure information coming from multiple data sources, how to balance edge and cloud data processing, and how real-time environmental data can be integrated into a coherent visualization framework for health-related applications.

During your internship, you will participate in the full research and development cycle: literature review, analysis of data visualization needs, definition of visualization strategies, prototyping, testing, and iterative refinement.

Requirements

• Student in data visualization, human-computer interaction, computer science, data science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in data representation, visual analytics, and interactive systems.
• Hands-on experience with visualization, prototyping, or front-end tools.
• Interest in complex data, multimodal systems, and digital health applications.
• Ability to translate scientific or technical outputs into understandable visual representations.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
